In my fragrance journey I have smelled hundreds of fragrances from several dozen perfumers in the last several months. Gorseland and Paradisi are some of the most uniquely beautiful fragrances I have found. They smell like gardens that live in the same general area: Paradisi's soil has just been watered and its fruits aren't ripe yet, so it’s loamy and more vegetal… Gorseland's soil hasn't been watered today but its fruits are juicy and begging to be eaten. I know pineapple is supposedly a note here, but for me it’s some other delicious, mysteriously addictive fruit I’ve never had before. They are both very visual, colorful scents for me, very invigorating and refreshing and full of life. After going through all Jorum’s discovery sets, I can honestly say every last one is fascinating. Really original. Works of art. Gorseland and Paradisi are the big standouts for me, but there are actually 4 or 5 more that I would consider full bottle worthy--I honestly can't say that about any other perfume house.

Thank you so very much for your kind words, Steven. We are thrilled you are enojying our creations.

Gorseland by Jorum Studio

**Gorseland by Jorum Studio** review by my wife Maria, photo by me(Grim)

The scent of endless summer, filled with sunshine. How to step into it, breathing in bliss and exhaling serenity. A vibrant, mouth-watering start with the aroma of fresh lemon juice on your fingers and tart gooseberries in your mouth. Then, the fragrance of European plants becomes apparent. The abundance from seemingly barren soil. Warm chamomile, intoxicating vetch, earthy burdock, lemon geranium, abundant gorse with fig leaf undertones, a touch of mushroom-like lavender, and a profusion of pollen-filled elderflower, silene, and meadowsweet. Gorseland later gains more green notes: young nettle leaves, neroli oil, and tomato stems. At one point, there's a hint of resinous hemp smoke and wild apples turned into cider. A play of contrasts and flavors—from sharp sour and bitter green to soft pollen tones, and so on in a cycle. The perfume feels almost neon, pulsating and evolving in a spiral. A sense of happiness from a summer day, from dawn to dusk, from childhood memories to adult nostalgia. Modern, unique, infectiously cheerful unisex. It lasts long on the skin—from morning to late evening, it remains on my wrists. I want to wear it on the nape of my neck, in my hair, in windy weather. The sillage is not too long, comfortable for those around.

In terms of character and tone, it reminded me of **Basilico & Fellini** by **Vilhelm Parfumerie**, **Sunflower Pop** by **Floral Street**, **Sense of Humor** by **State of Mind**, and **Saturday** by **Arielle Shoshana**. If, like me, you love such juicy scents, you'll surely adore it.

Thank you for such wonderful words!

Here comes the sun

This instantly takes me to a field of fresh grass and flowers and herbs, I want to just lay down, rub my nose in it and forget my worries. It’s unique and unbelievably natural. For me the ‘grassy-ness’ is the most eminent and what makes me love it so much. It has some fruity sweetness but with an earthy undertone. One of my absolute favorites from Jorum!

We love this! Thank you so much for your thoughts on Gorseland - it really comes into it's own at this time of year
