Creating each product in-house from our Edinburgh facility, Jorum Studio offers an ever-evolving perspective on modern fragrance, blending classical techniques with innovative and unique compositions to allow the wearer's creativity and sense of expression to shine.

Known for our focus on quality and creative style, the brand is stocked in over 120 retailers worldwide as well as our flagship boutique in Edinburgh’s Stockbridge and we are experiencing dynamic growth across the business.

The role:

We are recruiting for a confident, dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our small yet creative team. This will be a very engaged role involving many different aspects of a fast-growing business and will require someone with a passion for people and fragrance alike. Working from our St Stephen Street boutique you will act as an ambassador for the brand, assisting with the daily operations of the store and ensuring all customers receive a quality experience both in-store and online.

As Jorum Studio is a growing international brand there is also an opportunity for continued professional development.

 

Responsibilities will include:

  • Daily operations of the store at St Stephen Street including inventory of stock, merchandising and fulfilment of e-commerce orders.
  • Welcoming all customers to the store offering comprehensive knowledge of products, providing compelling stories alongside brand and product guidelines, maintaining the highest level of customer service.
  • Assisting with any queries customers may have and provide expert advice to them when requested in-store, online and via telephone.
  • Close control of stock management and POS system and assisting with Stocktake when required.
  • Ensuring visual presentation (including visual merchandising), store maintenance and housekeeping is kept to the brand’s desired standard, both on and off the shop floor.
  • Work to individual targets and workflow as well as providing support to management and other team members when required.
  • Understand the need for changing priorities and required work to be finished on time, occasionally continuing outside basic working hours to meet the needs of the business and which may also include extended travel.
  • Work independently within the store for periods of time.

     

    About you:

    • Knowledge of fragrance and a passion for creativity and design with up-to-date knowledge of key trends.
    • Experience in luxury retail preferred.
    • Motivated, confident, collaborative - must be able to work well in a team and thrive on pressure
    • Flexible and reliable - must be available to work weekdays and weekends. Late nights may be required occasionally.
    • Provide exceptional customer service in line with our brand values.
    • Able to multitask and solve issues smoothly, working well under pressure.
    • Agile with an open mindset.
    • Confident communicator - treat everyone with honesty, kindness and respect.
    • Keen to work towards individual targets.
    • Comfortable working alone within a retail environment.
    • Enjoys learning and sharing product knowledge with customers and team.
    • Proficient with social media including Instagram, Facebook and TikTok.
    • Additional language skills welcomed.
