Nostalgia evoked by an everyday scent wafting on the wind, our minds altered with the spritz of a favourite fragrance. The emotive and transportive power of fragrance never ceases to inspire.  

At Jorum, we're passionate about the fragrances we create. It gives us great pleasure knowing that our creations allow you to express yourself each day. We want to help you find what you’re looking for: whether that’s a signature scent or curated additions to your expanding fragrance wardrobe.

Our fragrance experts, based in our Edinburgh and London stores will use your answers to the following questions to suggest a few fragrances they think you will love. These questions have been carefully chosen, and, as with the answers you receive, are entirely human-made (no AI-agents here!). Our experts take time to personalise each reply and will aim to email your results to you within a few working days, although during busy times it may take a little longer.

01. What fragrance(s) do you currently wear? What do you like about it/them?*
If you have diligently curated a personal fragrance wardrobe, tell us about a couple of standouts in your collection. If you are devoted to one ‘signature’ fragrance, tell us why you love it, what it represents and why you are looking for a new Jorum addition. We welcome any insight you wish to share.
02. How do you like to wear perfume?*
For example: you might like to have a signature scent, or a variety for different moods or occasions. You might like to have certain scents for daytime use, and others for evening wear. Perhaps you like to shift with the seasons - warming scents in colder weather and then something fresh for the heat. Some people love to layer fragrances, one on their skin, another on fabric - there are no wrong answers!
03. Are there any notes, materials or fragrances you feel strongly about? Why do you feel this way about them?*
We want to hear about the ones you can’t get enough of, and the ones you find challenging.
04. Tell us about some of your favourite everyday aromas.*
For example: freshly brewed coffee in winter, savoury steam from warm bread, salty sea air by the coast, cut grass in the park, petrol mixed with forecourt flowers, old books gathering dust in the library, a fresh tube of lipstick… anything you like, from the mundane to the obscure. This is a safe space, you won’t be judged :)
05. How would you describe your personal style?*
This doesn’t have to be how you actually dress day to day - we’re aware the practicalities of life and work sometimes have to come first. We’re more interested in what you want to wear, without the limitations of reality…
06. What is more important to you - the journey or the destination? Where does your journey begin? Where might you be travelling to?*
