Pony Boy

in the age of convenience, we've lost the art of analog/tactile experiences. My first impression upon opening the box containing my bottle of Pony Boy was excitement at a note from the creators and a print publication full of gorgeous photography and accompanying reflections/meditations and other musings. I spritzed on my Pony Boy, delighted at the impression smell, and hung out in the lingering cloud while reading the zine. Thank you for this! I've worn it off and on, for it is quite a statement smell! I most enjoy the scent about 4-6 hours on my skin when it mingles with my natural musk and the sharpness fades into sweet.

I bought this perfume two weeks ago while visiting Edinburgh. It is everything I thought it would be - and more. Longevity is good (one spritz on my arm will last 8+ hours). I love the initial tart rhubarb, but there is so much more to it, and I pick up hints of smoke, and so much more depth and complexity on the dry down. I cannot wait to spend more time with Pony Boy as the weather becomes warmer, but even in the midst of December, it has stolen my heart.

Tabbed out on malic acid—puckeringly clear rhubarb notes. The celery of citrus. Perky, bratty little number via Prada SS '04. Juice vender in rhinestones. Despite being worn irregularly and at the cruel mercy of the weather, this crystal clear and slightly campy emblem of spring is so fun to me. Not easy to wear for me personally, but very easy to treasure in my collection.

A few spritzes lasts the whole day and it is such a lovely scent.
